For a long time, I’ve had this canvas I painted but with no frame, and I’ve had some insecurity in hanging my artwork.  Up until now it has been in the attic.

And do you see my sweet Rhys with his B cup man boobs?  I forget he went through that awesome plump stage.
These fence board scraps were leftover from a project I did last weekend that I’m sure will make it’s way on the blog.

I used the handsaw and cut some pieces down to the size of my painting.  The wood was a little warped and beat up, and left a small gap in the upper left hand corner so… I covered it up…with another board.  Looks better that way anyhow. For now, it is just glued.  I used a hot glue gun for I was lazy gal and had it within arms reach.  If I decide to hang it then I will use nails.   (After glueing the frame together, I inserted the canvas like a puzzle piece. Perfect fit. Note: I did not glue or attach my frame to the canvas.)

This painting was my translation to Tennyson’s,”Break, Break, Break.”

Break, break, break,
On thy cold gray stones, O Sea!
And I would that my tongue could utter
The thoughts that arise in me.

O, well for the fisherman’s boy,
That he shouts with his sister at play!
O, well for the sailor lad,
That he sings in his boat on the bay!

And the stately ships go on
To their haven under the hill;
But O for the touch of a vanished hand,
And the sound of a voice that is still!

Break, break, break,
At the foot of thy crags, O Sea!
But the tender grace of a day that is dead
Will never come back to me.

So far, my projects are costing very little.
